| History | This was my grandmothers who gave it to me about 40 years ago when I first learned to play. I basically haven't touched it for 20+ years 'til today (Feb 26, 2010) when I took the pictures and it's been stored under my bed pretty much the whole time. | |

| Describe your item's overall condition in detail. | 1956 Gibson J-45 that is completely original, has had no work done to it, and doesn't need any - it's in excellent condition but could use cleaning. There are finger print smudges on it and the tuners show dirt. I don't want to even try to clean this in fear of ruining it somehow and leave that up to new owner. It comes with it's original case (slightly banged up - scuffed and one of the latches is kind of hard to close), instruction booklet, extra strings in their original envelopes, picks, and some kind of clamp that looks like it's never been used ( I have no clue what this is). A red felt-like cloth covers the guitar in the case but I don't think it originally came with and chances are that it's probably something my grandmother covered it with when she first bought this. |
